The locally owned family business employs local people and specialises in providing quality service to the Riverina and South West Slopes. The staff at Noel Comerford's Auto Parts, Paint & Accessories have always prided themselves on providing good service and professional advice. During the past 20 years, Noel Comerford's has grown into one of the largest parts, automotive paint and accessories stores in New South Wales.

Noel and Maria Comerford formed Noel Comerford's Auto Parts, Paint and Accessories in 1978. At that time the company employed four staff - Noel, Maria, their eldest son David and Mac Knight from Ardlethan. Shortly after, local policeman Bernard Nix was employed and remained with the firm for 10 years. Through the following years they saw the business grow and grow. With careful planning, modern techniques and friendly, efficient service, the business has become one of the most advanced parts and accessories outlets in New South Wales. The growth of the business has been attributed to the traditional ideals of long, hard hours of work and a genuine personal interest in customers, which deems good service natural.
ABOVE: Maria & Noel Comerford started the business 20 years ago. Bigger ... and better IN 1981, Noel Comerford's Auto Parts, Paint and Accessories expanded and relocated to a bigger and more modern premises at 366 Edward Street. The large showroom at the west Wagga Wagga premises is ideal for customers who want to take their time looking around the spacious display area. Parking is no problem with ample room at the front and rear. Computerisation came to the business in 1986 and this was to ensure continued expansion, better and faster pricing, ordering and service. The company has grown to employ six staff. Another of Noel's sons, Shane, joined the firm in 1988. He is now co-managing the store with his brother David. Joining the business in January 1991 was Jill Sutherland. Jill looks after the office which includes accounts, stock receipting and computing. Joining at the same time was Shane Whyte who is a specialist parts interpreter looking after sales and paint mixing. Noel Comerford retired at the end of 1994. In April last year Heath Brown started. Heath looks after deliveries, counter displays and packaging. Being a direct distributor for some 50 manufactures reflects the confidence these people place in the firm. Comerford's large stocks, good overnight service, prices and quality have played a big part in the expansion of the company. Overnight carriers are used, meaning next day delivery is almost always possible. All towns and cities in the district are included in it's sales area, which generally operates within a 200 kilometre radius. Areas covered include Griffith, Henty, Tumbarumba, Urana, West Wyalong, Yass and Young just to mention a few. In addition, there are sales representatives on the road nine out of 15 days.
